Currently, Stroud Festival provides small grants each year to local artists, performers and educators whose projects require sponsorship and are aimed at children and young people. This focus on involving and encouraging young people to experience and engage in the arts follows on from the success of our Children’s Festival held over the past 2 years.
Applicants must present an outline of a performance, show, workshop or exhibition which will be of interest to the public, and the Committee meets approximately 6 times a year to discuss and make their selection. Go to About Us for the date of the next Committee meeting.
Grants are normally given in amounts up to £500 and paid in two instalments. Larger sums are occasionally made available to exceptional projects.
Past events supported by Stroud Festival have included youth drama shows, youth film projects, poetry slams, art and photographic exhibitions, sculpture installations, music workshops, dance projects – the list goes on!
Please read the Terms and Conditions for Grant Applications to ensure you are eligible for consideration.
